Abstract: I present a summary of the Standard Model of Particle Physics, and extensions of the model, from a phenomenological perspective. I will review popular scenarios as Grand Unified Theories, Supersymmetry, Technicolor, Effective Composite Higgs Models, and Models with Extra Dimensions, including large, universal, and warped extra dimensions, and discuss their strength and weaknesses. Finally, motivated by the LHC re-opening in April 2015, operating at center-of-mass energy of 13 TeV, I will conclude with some predictions and hopes for the future.
