Quantum Gravitational Effects During the Early Universe

Emre Onur Kahya
ITU, Department of Physics, Istanbul
20 November 2014, Thursday, 14:40
Cavid Erginsoy Seminar Room, Physics Department, 3rd floor

Abstract: I will summarize the "Standard Model" of cosmology in the light of recent observations. Then I will discuss the origin of everything in our universe: Quantum Fluctuations and analyze how one can understand the strength of these fluctuations in the early universe. Finally, I will look at a specific example: a conformally coupled scalar field interacting with gravity.

Reminder: Tea and cookies will be in the seminar room before the seminar.
