Latest Trends in Detector Physics and Technologies: From Large Hadron Collider to Lepton Colliders
Abstract: Recent developments in Particle Flow Algorithms gave rise to the idea of high granularity detector systems. With the advances in the development of integrated detector electronics and the accumulated expertise in novel active media, the implementation of these ideas will be possible in the near future. The first large-scale example ahead is the High Granularity Calorimeter upgrade of the CMS detector at the Large Hadron Collider. Further implementations for the future lepton colliders are under extensive study by the CALICE Collaboration. This talk will discuss the latest trends in the detector physics and technologies and will explore the extents and limitations in these developments.
