Frontiers in Laser Technology ResearchIhor A. Pavlov Abstract: Laser technology nowadays is one of the most important research directions in modern physics, ranging it`s applications from deep fundamental science: gravitation waves detection etc., to heavy industry and nanotechnology. Due to maturity of the field, now it is possible to develop and build a laser system practically with any choice of operation parameters, tailor made to suit a required application. In the first part of my talk I will demonstrate several examples of laser development for different specific applications. I will discuss two types of lasers: excimer lasers and Yb- and Er-doped fiber lasers, which cover different wavelength, pulse energy and average power ranges. In the second part of the talk I will demonstrate some of the results in the field of laser-material interaction: Nonlinear Laser Lithography and Si 3D subsurface modification. Additionally, I will show a few examples of my research in ultrafast time resolved studies, including ultrafast time-resolved spectroscopy and ultrafast time resolved imaging Reminder: Tea and cookies will be in the seminar room before the seminar. |
