Abstract: Over the two decades, effects of neutron star interior response have not been observed in accretion powered X-ray pulsars. I will first review the two-component neutron star model and the response of the neutron star under external torque fluctuations. In this model one component consists of charged particles while the second component consists of the superfluid neutrons. This was my first published paper during my PhD studies. I will briefly discuss the research done to uncover core superfluidity in isolated radio pulsars. Then, I will talk about our recent work on accreting pulsar SXP 1062. The observations of SXP 1062, performed by XMM, Chandra and Swift X-ray telescopes, revealed a glitch event. This is the first evidence of a glitch in an accreting pulsar which is a sign of the moment of inertia of core superfluidity of the neutron star. This discovery was announced by Royal Astronomical Society via press release. In addition to the discovery of the first glitch event in an accreting pulsar, we have resolved the orbital period of the binary system as 656 days and a high magnetic field strength around 1014 Gauss. Finally, I will mention observability of large glitch events by Laser Interferometer Space Antenna which is planned to be launched in 2034 by NASA and ESA.
