2D Monolayer Transition Metal Dichalcogenides and Their Applications in Optoelectronics
Abstract: Recently, following the boom of graphene, 2D Transition Metal Dichalcogenides (TMDCs) have received significant attention in the field of optoelectronics due to their extraordinary optical and electrical properties. We will report on semiconductor 2D MoS2, MoSe2, and WS2 TMDC growth optimization studies using CVD techniques. Specifically, a focus on the defect concentration and aging characteristics of MoS2 layers and related FET devices will be presented. Recent results on ALD assisted monolayer TMDC growth will be discussed.
