The missing duo: Joint gravitational-wave and high energy neutrino event search with LLAMA
Abstract: With the observational discovery of gravitational-waves humanity has become able to observe the phenomena which we were not able to observe before. Moreover it increased our capability to probe the cosmic events with a multitude of messengers with an additional messenger. However, no joint gravitational-wave and high energy neutrino (GWHEN) event has been found yet. In this talk I will discuss the realtime GWHEN search for the open public alerts of the aLIGO and AdVirgo gravitational-wave detectors, the new search pipeline Low-Latency Algorithm for Multi-messenger Astrophysics (LLAMA) and its statistical significance calculation which incorporates astrophysical priors.
