The plot shown is the time dependent probability density determined from a numerical solution of the time dependent Schrôdinger equation for a potential barrier. The initial wavefunction is a gausian moving to the right and is given by:

 

The average kinetic energy is shown in green and the potential barrier is outlined in blue. The time dependent wave equation was solved using Matlab.
